Do you want to learn how to play Fiddle?
You have come to the right place! I specialize in the Beginners. Squeeking, screeching, and squawking is music to my ears. AND you are never too old to learn! I offer Private & Group instruction.
I believe learning should be fun. If you enjoy it then you will keep at it, even through the tough times. Technique is taught alongside the music.
Beginners...
You will begin by learning the names of the strings and the parts of the fiddle. The Do's & Don't's. Then we dive right in with a familiar tune, Mary Had a Little Lamb. I teach with a mixture of Tablature (fingerings written out) and by ear (listening then repeating). Once a grasp of the instrument and the music is established we add in notation (sheet music).
Intermediate...
We will continue working on technique while learning more complicated music. Start learning how to read notation.
Lessons are kept very affordable at $15 per 30 minutes.
